Racing at Vegreville Speedway
First-timers, amateurs, and experienced racers ALL welcomed & encouraged. Our events are aimed at the amateur drag racer who wants to try the sport without feeling overwhelmed. Seasoned racers that want to come out and enjoy a great day of racing or put on a show!
What it costs
Race Fees
$60 – Race Fee per vehicle
$20 – Buy Back (1st round only)
$20 – King of the Hill
$10 – Pit crew, family members, friends etc
A little about what we offer
- Races are held at Vegreville Airport
- 4,000 feet total length of runway. 100 feet wide. Asphalt Runway
- Paved pit lane. Open to spectators.
- Street legal, Race Cars, Diesels, Sleds, Motorcycles Allowed. (See tech rules for further details)
- 1/4 Mile, bracket racing
- .500 Sportsman tree
- Lanes will be prepped to the best of our abilities.
- Fully timed races with printouts including R/T, 60ft, speed, and E/T
- King of the Hill if time permits
- Concession with hot food, snacks, and beverages
- Full live commentary, announcements, and background music
- Prize money will be paid to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place.
- The King of the Hill winner will receive 50% of the registration fees for this segment.
What can I race?
Bring your mom’s grocery getter (with permission of course), that car you just bought (how fast is it anyway), your motorcycle, diesel truck (lets roll some coal), and of course your race car. All you need to do is pass tech!
